Not just a great surgeon, but also a great person.
I didn't know an appointment should last 3 minutes. When a doctor hints towards you lying about your pain, run, find a better Doctor! He may be good with athletes but anyone else he could care less for. He is down right rude, and doesn't care to help the patient. Never again, I wouldn't not recommend.
Very friendly and explains everything before and after surgery thoroughly. Having had 7 other surgeries, the pain associated with Dr. McConnell's was minimal. Due to surgeon skill? I think it has a lot to do with it. I would recommend him to anyone considering any shoulder surgery, including resurfacing or replacement.
I worked with Dr. McConnell on my shoulder and he was great. I had lots of questions and asked for lots of explanation and he was very clear and patient throughout the process. In addition, the office is well organized and run, so I never had to wait for long (a huge plus if you've ever had to sit in a doctor's lobby for 30 minutes or more). The surgery process was also efficient (I went to the Tri Health Evendale surgery center) and everything went smoothly. I would especially recommend Dr. McConnell if you are an athlete.
As an elite athlete at a younger age I suffered from chronic shoulder pain. Dr. McConnell was able to repair the damage and I've been pain free ever since. I would highly recommend Dr. McConnell.
Excellent surgeon, extremely thorough, very patient and does a nice job.
My primary care doctor referred me to this orthopedics practice, and I was given an appointment with Dr. McConnell. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor was already running 15-20 minutes behind early in the morning, but once he was in the room with me he was very pleasant and professional. He listened to my symptoms, reviewed my x-ray with me, gave me a steroid injection, and discussed follow-up care. I did not feel rushed or that he wasn't listening; I felt he was competent, friendly, and professional
worse physician i have ever seen, his staff is so rude acting like there better than every body else. The doctor charged me $200 for a 3 minute office call. would not recommend his office to anyone.
