Dr. McGarity has great preoperative information to help you feel more comfortable and prepared for the procedure. He is communicative, informative, and encouraging throughout the process. He treats his staff with great respect and has a seamless team dynamic. He takes the time to also check in via phone call following surgery and is available via phone if any complications may arise. I am very happy with my surgical results and confident to recommend Dr McGarity to anyone in Mid Missouri that is considering LASIK surgery.

After waiting a long time at my appointment and going through all his testing he would not test or treat the reason for my appointment saying it was too expensive. Apparently his new office is not too expensive for him, but patient care is!
I am so pleased with Dr. McGarity and his staff. Dr. McGarity explains everything up front and made sure I understood what would happen during my surgeries. He really made me feel at ease. His staff was wonderful thru all of my visits. They were very professional and nice. I was so nervous about my surgery but it went just as Dr. McGarity said it would. Dr McGarity is amazing. I am so glad I chose him to do my lasik surgery. I have recommended him to several people. He has definitely made my life so much better.
While under the knife today McGarity confrinted me with a phone call we had where I was tring to figure out the convoluted billing system his office has. I ended up getting frustrated and angry so I hung up. He brought this up when he was taking out a cataract from my left eye. This was the most unprofessional thing I haveevery HEARD of a doctor doing, let alone had one do to ME. I suppose he would have wanted me to have cussed him out and all that--which is what I wanted to do on the ophone call but I hung up instead. I am ... read more
Fantastic LASIK experience. Dr. McGarity and team were phenomenal throughout the process. Highly recommend!
Too many surgeries scheduled each Wednesday. Staff appear overworked and frustrated. Important procedures forgotten such as Antibiotic cleansing of surgery site and immobilizing head. Dr. made small talk to sales rep during my surgical procedure--very disconcerting! Follow-up appointment times always 30-60 minutes late due to large number of pre-post surgery patients. Dr. McGarity has a good reputation, but his new facility appears to be more about making $ than patient safety.

I have been seeing Dr. McGarity for the past 4 years for a chronic eye condition. Dr. Mc Garity is always professional, concerned and caring. He thoroughly explains procedures before and during visit. Available after hours for post procedure problems. His staff is professional in assisting with procedures and performing pre-checks. Clerical staff works hard to be sure appointments fit patient schedules and are always very kind. I am happy I have chosen this professional group for my eye care.
