My daughter recently saw Dr. Lackey in the ER, and, unfortunately, she was diagnosed before she was even examined. Because my daughter suffers from anxiety, it was assumed she was having a panic attack, so she did not receive a thorough examination or questioning of medical history and was thus misdiagnosed. She was actually suffering from complications of severe constipation and GERD. Fortunately, I didn’t just accept his diagnosis and was ultimately able to help my daughter get relief with a different course of treatment t... read more
Normally I do not interfere with a person's livelihood, but your children's wellbeing is on the line. Timothy Lackey has been a pediatrician for my kids the past few years and generally, has not been problematic. Today my 17 year old daughter had a checkup. One particular vaccine they insisted on, I politely declined to the nurse, prior to when he walked in. His first words were 'If you don't get this vaccine you'll have to find another doctor'. Then he got very close to her and explained to her the various risks associated ... read more
Dr saw my child in ER. He was very rude. Gave a diagnosis "viral infection" before he received results back from test being ran. When I attempted to ask questions about my child's symptoms he threw his hand in the air and stated it's a viral infection and walked out of the room. I will never allow this Dr. See any of my children in the future.
He seems nice enough but he doesn’t really take the time to listen and understand - feels like he thinks most things are just “fine” or downplays things and rushes to see the next patient. We have tried to see him about recurring ailments but he’s not been helpful at all unfortunately.
Son went in for a ear infection was prescribed amoxicillin. Few days later went back because of a possible allergic reaction. Was told no it’s just a viral infection because of the ear infection. He also didn’t do a good job with looking him over. Almost a week later had to take child back to be seen by a different doctor because he broke out in hives and his right foot was swollen due to being ALLERGIC to amoxicillin. Will never be seen by this doctor again. At this point I would be more than happy to drive 30 plus minutes ... read more
Dr. Lackey was extremely rude and condescending about my 7 MO. I felt like he didn’t listen to his symptoms, and rushed a diagnosis. I won’t be seeing him in the office again. Wouldn’t recommend for first time mom.
Seen this Dr at an ER..he basically laughed at us for the reason we came in and basically said we lied about us going to an urgent care because he thought he knew what time every urgent care closed apparently! Was very rude!! Very sarcastic in his tone of voice and not personable at all!
Dr. Lackey is probably an ok doctor if you just want someone to go through the yearly checklist of tapping knees, looking at a child's spine, and asking if they are wearing a seat beat. If you want a doctor who will take a few moments to converse and engage with your child or discuss any concerns you as a parent have observed, then he's not your guy.
My son was a patient of Dr. Lackey for ten years. Recently, he has refused to provide medical explanations for treatment and only uses the phrase "in my independent observations as a medical professional", but will not expand on the term, "independent observations". When asked for additional explanation, he wrote a letter and stated he would no longer see our child and refused the existing appointments for care, just a week away. Staff is very unprofessional and rude, often contradicting each other.
