I was subjected to racism today by the girl at the counter wearing a hijab. I went at 7:30AM, hoping for a nice start to the morning. Instead of welcoming a guest with a “Good morning! What can I get for you today?”, the first words she uttered were “Delivery?” Just because I’m Indian, she assumed I’m there to pick up a delivery order? I scolded her to not assume such things and treat guests properly, but she didn’t even apologize. I spoke to the manager, who was kind and apologetic, which I appreciate.
