I initially had the great fortune to have Dr. Matthew Tignor as my treating physician in 1994, at which time I had contracted multiple infectious processes while in the hospital for an unrelated surgical procedure. Dr. Tignor had a very thorough knowledge and understanding of my conditions, all of which I had never heard of before in my life, even having worked in the medical field myself. I have to agree, that Dr. Tignor does rush around and did not answer many questions while I was in the hospital. However, I am VERY VERY happy he was my doctor. He is great and ended up answering every question I had. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He is my first choice, should I need someone with his expertise again!
Every time I saw him in the hospital, he was in a rush. He didnt give me a treatment plan, or any idea of what was going on with my care. I asked questions and he said he would answer them next time, and he didnt. It isnt a question of competence... I feel he is competent and my treatment is appropriate. I decided to re-review after my follow up appointment, to see if he is less distracted during office hours.
