These reviews are false in my opinion. Never ever deal with Dr Smith she is incompetent and when she put in a temporary crown other dentist were baffled by how she installed it and the material spread . When I was in so much pain, my ears, nose and throat were in agony. As soon as it was removed. Having it removed took months because they would not answer my calls, when called from a different number they picked up. Good dentist and office overall, but they have funny billing procedures. Instead of sending the bill to the insurance company first and the patient paying their portion, they make you pay on the spot so you end up overpaying, which they will not tell you.If I knew this before scheduling, I would not have scheduled. It should be LAW that providers MUST inform patients of this in ADVANCE. Imagine having to unexpectedly shell out hundreds or even THOUSANDS of dollars. That's kind of unethical. Dr. U. Smith was nice but she really messed up my teeth. MONTHS later and I am in pain that I didn't have when I first got there. All I NEEDED was a cleaning but I left with UNNECESSARY work done on my teeth. I am in so much pain that I have to see ANOTHER dentist now to figure out what the hell she did.
I had a wonderful experience at Tidewater Dental DC. I was a patient at Tidewater Dental in Glenarden which is now closed. Everyone was very professional. They all handled me with TLC. This office is amazing! Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. The office is well maintained and nicely decorated. The dentist has a presence that makes you feel at ease. She explains everything in a way that meets you where you are. I highly recommend this office!
