RecommendedWe loved meeting the new owner and staff of this classic establishment. Place is remarkable with beautiful bar and cozy ambiance. The menu is remarkable with so many choices. This use to be one of my favorite restaurants while in Macon. Went on yesterday for the delicious bisque and crab cakes to find they completely changed the menu which the website did not reflect. Ordered the lobster bisque and it tasted like the chef poured salt in the soup. The server was nice but not attentive. She never came to refill our water during our 2 hr visit. That drink took 30 minutes to make, (we were sitting AT the bar so could see all going on) and do I need to say anything about the bread served with the mussels? Please ask the bartender to make drinks and not give lectures about every liquor behind the bar. People just want their drinks and food, not her essay on everything she touches. Thanks for a mediocre meal, bad service and a ridiculously high tab.
