Tia Helitas has been my FAVORITE restaurant for YEARS!! I hope they NEVER go away!! �
In my opinion Tia Helita's is the best Mexican restaurant in Genessee county, but I'll have to admit the last few times I've been there the stew meat in my wet burrito dinner was very blah no flavor. When I started coming to Tia Helita's in the 90's the meat and gravy had all kinds of flavor and I would boast how good it was not so much now. They need to bring back the old recipes. :( :(
I thought my food was great, my husband said he was overwhelmed by the cumin. That was all he tasted and he would like to try somewhere else next time. Chips and salsa were the best but didn't like having to pay for them.

Chips and salsa were great, but my steak and chicken fajitas lacked flavor. Was told this place had excellent food, maybe just a bad day there
Well i gotta say. I was pleasantly surprised. First time there. Lunch special was 'fair' price. Margaritas definitely good. I'll be back. Chips were very good also.
