Thumbs Up has been one of my favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch spots for almost 18 years and counting. Love the diner feel and friendly service.

I ate at the one on Marietta Street. I actually prefer the one on Edgewood Avenue. The service and food are superb there. My only complaint with this one is the waitress we had. After waiting about 20-30 mins and starving, we noticed other patrons who had come in after us were getting there food before us, we flagged down our waitress who never came back to check on us after taking our order and come to find out she forgot to put in our order ��. It was my first time but not the last time. I have to put this place on my list of "must have" when I come to Georgia. I am from Michigan and I had the Catfish and cheese grits. The fish was cooked to perfection. The service was friendly. No wait time we went early on Sunday morning around 8:30am
It's only okay. The skillet pancakes wasn't the best! Grits was great!

I'm glad you liked the grits but what type of pancakes did you have? We don't have "skillet pancakes" our pancakes are huge, fluffy, Belgian waffle batter cakes! Come back and give us another try!
The food was excellent and the service was good and fast. The next time I visit Atlanta I will definitely be back. This was good southern eating!
