If you enjoy being verbaly assaulted and abused this is the "tailor" for you. The woman is incapable of a civil conversation. I took a garment in to be altered, waited 2 weeks for the service and when I called to see if it was finished she screamed at me over the phone that it wasn't done I should come and pick it up then she said that she would do it and have it ready the next day. Needs a better customer service – I have been, or so I thought, a great customer: willing to wait a long time and willing to pay more for a great service. But, recently I have been greatly dissppointed. I took a dress to have a slip sewn in and wanted the slip to be longer than the original. It turned out that the slip was too long and it stuck out from the underneath the dress. I took it back to have it shortened another inch. Wouldn't recommend Thu for tailoring – i just had a really awful experience with Thu. I took her a really expensive silk dress that needed to be taken up a bit at the shoulders and I told her I needed it in one week. No problem. I called her in 6 days and she told me it was not done but to come in the mid morning. When I arrived at the appointed time, it was not done. She told me to come back in an hour. When I came back it was done but she had taken too much and the dress was fitting terribly - all bunched under my arms. Sh... read more
Excellent! – I went to get a dress altered and I have to admit it was a bit pricey but it was a designer dress and I didn't want to go to anyone who would mess it up because of the complicated design. After finding Thu on CitySearch, I tried her out and couldn't have been happier. She has such a fun personality and she made me feel very comfortable. She delivered right on time, and did exactly what we talked about doing. Definitely worth the money.
Most competent and creative tailor in Portland – The Thu of Thu Fashion Is the best tailor I've ever encountered. She has a degree from Italy and skills beyond compare. If it weren't for her, I'd not be able to wear my clothes--and I love clothes. Tailor to your need – I've been a loyal customer to Thu Fashion for the past 5 years and it is by far the best place to have my clothes tailored. I completely trust her with my goods and she does an amazing job everytime. You pay for what you get and I do not mind paying extra for the service. I brought in a pair of Rock & Republic jeans to get them hem and it came back like an original. I couldn't even tell that they've been tailored and that's craftsmenship at its best. Great Tailor with a great personality – I have been to Thu's several times to get clothing altered and been very happy with her work. She is a great funny lady that really knows what she is doing. Not the cheapest but we all know you get what you pay for. I have lost 30 lbs and Thu has performed miracles on some of my nice suits, jackets and shirts. I highly recommend her.
