I started therapy at Thrive Therapy to address my anxiety, hoping for support and consistency in my treatment. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but that. I totally understand cancellation policies and why they are in place. However, for a mental health provider that specializes in children to have a 48 hr cancellation policy is very insensible. Called to cancel my appointment 26.5 hrs in advance because I got a call about a family emergency and now need to go out of town. I'm sure so many people give every excuse under the sun for cancellations. However, this weighs heavy on me.
