I had a great experience. Staff were friendly and dealt with things quickly, the car was fresh and clean, and I didn't get caught with any of the hidden fees or charges that often come with rentals. All considered, one of the better rental experiences I've had.
I have never been disappointed with Thrifty in Australia. I use them all the time. Great people, great service and good cars too. Please keep up the good work..
We rented a Polestar 2 EV over the long weekend, the gentleman at the counter was friendly and we didn’t encounter nasty surprises after receiving the invoice. In future, the handover process could be done better for electric vehicle renters, we only realised the keys came with an Evie fob which provides you free charging with only the Evie network. The car had issues after the first quick charge we did, which had to be troubleshooted by fully shutting off the car through the centre screen, locking it, and trying to plug it ... read more
The Thrifty hire care we have has no navigation services available unless you subscribe to a Toyota service which it won’t allow you to do. The quoted prices we were given all of a sudden had airport and govt. taxes added to the insurance cover when we went to pick it up at the airport. The USB port is not even a standard USB port so you can’t even charge a phone! We spent the entire visit looking at a mobile phone for directions.
