About this business

Our History In 1910, Thrashers Opera House was built on Mill Street in downtown Green Lake by Charlie Thrasher. It first hosted vaudeville and traveling theatrical companies, but is best remembered for the movies that Charlie showed as soon as electricity became available, around 1912. Have been to many shows at the Thrasher. What a wonderful venue! When you go there, it seems like every artist that performs there states, “You don’t know what you have here.” We are so lucky to have this in our backyard. Saw Judy Collins on a Thursday and Switchback on a Saturday. Both were such great performances. Thank you for being there and bringing in the quality performers that you do. You say you have never heard of the artist? Come anyway. You may become their number#1 fan!

The Thrasher folks bring in great artists who always put on a super show. I’m so fortunate to live within easy driving distance to get there several times each year.
