RIP OFF Thorpe installed a new thermostat in my friends home, it was a very basic thermostat that sells for less than $50.00 on line. She was charged $210.00 for it, there was NO charge for the service call. Without knowing the details, I OKed her to use my credit card for the charge. She is a senior citizen living on about $800 a month Social Security. I contacted my credit card company, who contacted Thorpe, and they got a song & dance about this being a "Special" thermostat, that has a 5 year warranty, and parts have to b... read more
Great company to deal with! I called Thorpe up later in the afternoon a couple weeks ago and they had a tech right out. He was knowledgeable and fixed the problem right away. He also informed that my system was getting older and may want to consider replacing it in the not too distant future. No pressure at all, just informative. I've come to find that they charge a little bit more for what they do however I'm willing to pay that considering the great service they provide. You get what you pay for!
They are good with the words! They say best advertising is word of mouth. I have nothing good to say about Thorpe Heating and Cooling. The tech told me it would cost approx. $300 to repair my compressor fan. I got a second opinion from another Company. They repaired it with a $30 piece. The Thorpe tech also gave me an estimate to replace my compressor and air handler with new duct work at approx. $12,000. Small house I may add! I think they need to take "Jesus is Lord" logo off the Yellow Pages ad!!!
Great service! Great service came out and fixed my A/C right the first time and no repeat visits! If you call them ask for Adam Ogg he is the best tech out there! Could not be happier!
