The almond croissant is the best Ive tasted in my life!!!! i live the extra topping!! its a must have every time i visit SF!
I found Thorough Bread and Pastry listed on the San Francisco Travel website as 'The Best Bakery in San Francisco By Neighborhood' and have to say the food was extremely disappointed. Literally tiny "pieces" of ham in the ham and cheese croissant. Not an acceptable ham-to-cheese ratio. The apple-to-pastry ratio in the galette was similar. Wafer thin apple slices (probably dried apple chips that were re-hydrated).
