Worst vet I have ever been to. Does not answer questions. Had “advice” that went against multiple other vets and was terrible with my dog. Would never ever recommend anyone who cares for their pet to take there animal here. The facility was also very dirty and smelled of mold.
Dr. Schuerger and his staff are wonderful. I have been to many other vets and always come back to him. Their prices are reasonable and he truly cares about the pet. He does not try to push expensive and unnecessary procedures. To the people who comment on his personality, would you rather have someone who knows what they are doing or nice to talk to? If you are respectful to him he will be the same. Will recommend thornwood veterinary hospital to everyone i know
Excellent Vet – Excellent veterinarian. The staff is extremely helpful. Have taken our pets there for over 20 years. He tells you what is wrong and offers the best way to treat a problem. The pets also like him. The cats purr and the dog wags her tail.
Strongly recommend Dr. Schuerger and his staff at Thornwood Veterinary Hospital are very caring and knowledgable. Dr. Schuerger has saved the life of several of my pets over the years. I would strongly recommend this Veterinary Hospital.
Thornwood Veterinary Hospital is the best I've been taking my German Shepherd there for seven years. Dr. Steurger (sp?) might not always tell you what you want to hear, but he is the most knowledgeable of any vet I've met. He also has more specialized foods, vitamins and other supplements than these other pet websites (which are good in their own way), have. My dog is an excellent health because of him, and I'm so fortunate to have him as my vet.
Negligent and unpersonable. – We used to take all our pets to this veterinary clinic. The vet on staff, Dr. Shuerger, is unpersonable and very dry with people. We thought that maybe he was just more of an animal person but he was stand-offish with our dogs too! He never spoke to them and didn't try to make them feel comfortable at all. He has high metal exam tables and he made us pick up our 90-lb black lab to get him on the table and he offered no assistance.
