Friendly Service "I have been doing business with Thompson's for over 20 years. They are my go-to spot for appliance parts. In this age of big box stores, dealing with a small business that really cares about their customers is a lovely change. I was surprised to read the negative reviews. My experience has been, if an issue develops, Thompsons does everything they can to make it right for the customer. Makes me wonder if the other reviewers are telling the whole story."
Unreliable/ Do Not Use They have had my microwave -- large KitchenAid with rack, worth repairing -- almost a week, & haven't even had a chance to look at it or at least call me to say the techs can't get to it. Even called before going to see what wait was, dropped it off Friday & was promised a phone call (& repaired if just a fuse) on Monday; I had to call them Wed. afternoon, was told no one had the chance to do anything yet, but was promised a call back no later than noon Thursday. POOR ATTITUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! My home warranty company called this company to make a repair on my front loader clothes dryer. The repairman came out, pulled the hose out from the wall, said that the vent was probably plugged and that we should have it cleaned and that should solve the problem. They did not want to order the electronic component that was malfunctioning because the home warranty company didn't reimburse them enough for the part for them to make much money. Don't Get Ripped Off I had a technician come over to my house on 06/22/2010 and charge me $70 for a less than 5 minute diagnosis on my dishwasher. Then turned around to tell me I had no power without pulling the dishwasher out from underneath the cabinet. HOW CAN SOMEONE POSSIBLY DIAGNOSE A DISHWASHER WITHOUT PULLING IT OUT FROM UNDER THE CABINET? They wanted to charge another $80 to pull out the machine which I did myself in under 2 minutes. Better customer service than chain stores When my fridge died 5 years ago, I bought one off their sales floor. ASAP delivery, and no fee. They reached my house even before I did. Compressor failed 2 months prior to end of extended warranty. Thompson's sent someone to pick up the dead fridge and gave me a loaner for a week. They do 0% financing just like the chains; some folks don't know this. You certainly won't get this type of customer service with chains.
Thompson Appliance Sales Parts is Out of this world This place remodeled their parts department and it is so convenient now. I love the family facade that this business has. I have used them for years and will continue to do so.
great service This is a great place to find parts for do-it- yourselfers. They even have books you can purchase on your appliance. Our thirty year old dryer was still working when I replaced it.
Repair RipOff!!!!! I got hit with two service charges because they said that they weren't told which oven brand it was. So Not True! And then we had to wait and wait for them to come back out and I asked them to call me at work or on my cell for someone to be at our house. Did they do that? No, they left a message at our house and luckily someone was there so that they could finish their expensive job! I will never use them again. Run as fast as you can and keep your wallet closed!!
Best of Service I live on the west side of Fort Worth . And Thompson's went the extra mile to come to my house. They have polite service guys. And I was only charged one service call to come to my house. My washer was leaking all over the floor and I spoke with someone to explain how I can turn my water off until a tech got to my house. I called the day of leaking and got a service guy out the next day. They called me the next morning properly and let me know a estimate of the repair and so I make arrange to fix my washer.
