Fun, but buyer beware. AutoCross in Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park is a 5/8th of a mile (about 1 kilometer) kidney shaped course in a parking lot, marked by traffic cones. It takes about 20 seconds to drive 1 "LAP". So if you get 5 "Laps", you'll spend about 1.5 minutes driving around in a parking lot. Associates and instructors were super friendly and professional. I've been going to Thompson since I was 4. My Father campaigned his #42 modified driven by the late great Don Mctavish and the famous Mario Fats Caruso. Love the facility and the great announcing and marketing team. Hello, Mr Russ Dowd!
Great facility, staff is wonderful. The track is fun, only a few places that can get you in trouble, pretty busy design keeps it interesting. Really a nice facility to get into track day events, and they host a ton of them. SCCA Track Nights always sell out for a reason. It's so much fun.
