Thompson has a fabled past with most of the legends of racing competing there over the years. Is there anyone besides me that remembers that the "fences" around the track were sand piles?
I was down there for a Lemons race a couple of weeks ago. The staff treated us like royalty. They even went so far to as to bring around ice pops to the entire paddock to help cool us down a little bit in the wicked heat. The facilities are well laid out, if not a bit spread out. Thankfully, the staff is willing to shuttle you around as needed. Overall, I would not hesitate to attend an event here either as a spectator or a participant.
It was very hot this weekend racing with temps well over 90 outside the cars and off of pit lane... Was very surprised as we were pulling out of the track to be greeted by track staff giving out cold waters and some crackers as they wished us a safe ride home!!!!
My husband got me hooked on NASCAR. We go to Thompson Speedway on numerous Sundays and Wednesday evenings. A wonderful time every time we go!! Don't miss out on all the action come join us.
i went to thompson speed way when i live in conn and i love ❤ sitting in the seats and watch the race car go around the track that was in 1988 i wish that i could still go but now i live in devner colorado and it is hard for me to get to conn
This is a very fun track guys! I ran here on May 17th with SCCA Track Night in America and I have no regrets! The layout is fun with a couple of tight turns, fast turns, a long straight to get speed out your system, what is there not to like!?
I've tracked here a couple of times now. The course is a lot of fun. The staff is experienced and helpful. The track is conveniently located off the highway. I will definitely be back.
