I've been seeing psychiatrists for 20 years, Dr. Rowell has been the most understanding and helpful. He works hard and spends time with me to find ways to manage my symptoms. He's very experienced and it shows. He might seem quiet or off-putting to some, but I truly believe he cares a lot, he just presents as more rigid. That doesn't change how great of a doctor he is, I've gotten to know how wonderful of a person he is also. Thanks Dr. Rowell for helping me cope with my symptoms.
Dr Rowel is a great Psychiatrist. Over the years he has helped with my meds and family. I wouldn't trade him for anyone.

I was involuntarily admitted to Ascension Behavioral Health (St. Elizabeth). This was the worst 9 days of my existence, as the staff was short, Psychiatrist was rude, and I was overly medicated (seeing double, couldn’t maintain balance, couldn’t eat). It was difficult to navigate like this and my treatment resistant disorder wasn’t moving fast enough. Dr. Rowell began paperwork to send me to Winnebago Mental Health, the state facility! I opted for home. This facility never offered hope, just day by day routine. I was talked d... read more
I will say Dr. Rowell is a nice guy. I scheduled a 1 hour appt for $150 cash because he doesn't accept insurance, and he only gave me about 20 minutes. There were things I wanted to discuss that I was not able to. He prescribed my meds electronically and it is a nightmare. The problem with this electronic system is that most of the meds never make it to the pharmacy. if appt is Saturday night gets some that day others Tuesday. I live 75 min away and it's a problem going to pharm 3 times.
The most unprofessional half-wit I have ever encountered in medicine. Likely got a diploma mill M.D and ID theft the rest of his information. RUN far away from this quack!
He showed unprofessionalism by yelling. Very uncompassionate.
Dr.Rowell is a great dr.He takes the time to answer all questions, he cares about his patients. He saved my life! And my family from falling apart.Would recommend him to anyone needing excellent care.A huge thanks to him and staff.
Dr. Rowell is an excellent doctor who genuinely cares about his patient's health and well-being. He is very knowledgeable in medicine in regards to effective treatment of serious mental health conditions. His new nurse is wonderful to work with as well, which wasn't the case with his previous nurse.
