Doctor Chu's knowledge is excellent and he is upfront and honest on treatments He treated me with a basal cell cancer above my lip He did a exceptional job of removing the cancer and not leaving any noticeable scar. Dr Chu and his unique staff display the ultimate in professionalism. My surgery was scheduled at 9:20 and at 9:21 I was being prepped. Dr Chu removed melanoma from the top of my head requiring 11 stitches. You can't see the scar when standing in front. We are so fortunate to have someone of his his calibre to treat those in our community.
I asked Dr. Chu to look at a new and rapidly growing spot on my face and he pretty much refused. It did have some warning signs of skin cancer, but he didn’t listen when I tried to tell him. I went to a different dermatologist who biopsied it and it is skin cancer. This was very upsetting to me. Maybe he was having a bad day, but his demeanor was rude, upsetting, and insulting. I will not be going back.
My dad had a lot of skin cancer and Dr. Chu worked on him for at least 25 years. He passed away at 93. I have been going for about 15 years. Dr. Chu does a great job. For people like me who have significant skin cancer issues and require occassional Mohs surgery it is so nice to have a dermatologist who is also a highly qualified plastic surgeon which greatly minimizes scarring. He tells you like it is. It is up to you to take it seriously. I VERY highly recommend him.
Dr Chu and his entire staff provided me with the best quality care and procedures. During the summer of 2020 I had to undergo two separate surgical procedures on my face for skin cancer. I was very concerned about the work to be done. Dr Chu and his staff tried to alleviate all of my fears. Their concern and compassion were extraordinary. They were kind and empathetic. I had a keloid on the top left of ear from a piercing that had been treated by several doctors but didn't stay away/gone. Dr.Chu removed the keloid and it has now been gone for officially 18 years you can't tell that the huge bubblegum ball ever existed. I most definitely would highly recommend him.

Dr Chu and his staff were extremely helpful, from making the appointment thru the actual (skin cancer) procedure. Dr Chu took time to make sure that all my questions were answered and in making sure I understood next steps. He made a scary situation more comfortable.
I have hypo ( no treatment for) and hyper pigmentation with scarring after his laser resurfacing. He proclaimed his expertise and successes, offered me no solution. Dismissed my results as a small percentage of his failures
