My husband has had three surgeries with Dr. MacDonald. They were all successful! Love the Dr. and all the staff!
Dr. McDonald consulted on my son with hip pain. He has great rapport with kids, I trusted his judgement and I'm appreciative of his care.
A great doctor. He's kind, articulate and well mannered. I would be happy to have him do surgery on my hand any day of week. He understands what the patient is going through and does a great job facilitating his patients.
Everyone was very knowable and friendly. The Doctor explained what I needed and how the surgery was going to go.
Let me just start off by saying that I have never experienced worse patient care from any place in my entire life! I have a serious arm injury where I got a shot in my right arm, in the wrist area to be exact and had to get 2 surgeries which resulted in me suffering from sciatic nerve damage in my whole right hand and arm. The pain is almost unbearable and it gets worse and worse by the weeks! So I got referred by my doctor that actually works next door to go see a hand specialist by the name of
So disappointed in this doctor I could take up the whole page but to sum it up after two surgeries I cannot move my middle finger on my right hand I’ve been to therapy and all they did was give me a silver ring to hold my finger up needless to say the ring is lost and that’s not why I had the surgery it was to correct the first failed surgery when I went back to see the doctor he said I don’t see anything wrong!Went for a second opinion I am now being referred to UC Davis to correct botchedHand

Dr. McDonald is awesome. Great listener. Calm, comforting presence. Excellent surgeon. From a person who makes a living with his hands, and a recipient of carpal tunnel release surgery by him.
The rudest most non caring doctor I have ever seen. Waited to see him for over an hour and when he came in he wanted to see how far I could bend my wrist and just slammed it down and really hurt me, he didn't care. Walked out of the room about a minute later and said he would give me a referral for surgery with another doctor. Last time I saw him, never again.

Dr. McDonald has the absolute worst bedside manner I've ever experienced. Was sitting in preop waiting for surgery when he came in and decided he didn't want to deal with me and cancelled surgery. He has a terrible attitude and in my humble opinion has no business dealing with patients. The man is just rude plain and simple.
