My almost 4 year old was leary of the dentist and refused to go back without me. I'm so glad I went back with him! The strong arm approach, 'he has to do it' is the reason why he is now terrified of the dentist. Terrible bedside manner. The rest of the staff is wonderful and I haven't heard a single bad thing about the other dentists.
I agree regarding office demeanor. First after spending significant time not even being able to figure out if they took my insurance, they also stated I would not be allowed to accompany my small daughter. With all of the scary stories regarding female patients and dentists, I find this policy alarming. I'm choosing to pay out of pocket rather than take her to the only dentist who will provide the service under her insurance. Dr. Meyer is the most caring and gentle dentist I have ever known. He goes above and beyond to make you comfortable. His work is excellent and pain free. I whole heartedly recommend this dentist.
My daughter has been a patient's of Dr. Thomas since she was 5. He has never gave us the warm and fuzzy feelings but has been fine in the past and took good care of her. Today my daughter went for a visit for a tooth ache which my mother took in her for. I was asked to call to speek to the Doctor after she visited him and he was very rude and did not offer good information about what was going on. My daughter had some mouth pain and had never been to a dentist. After some research we came across Dr. Thomas. My daughters teeth needed some care including a couple of necessary caps. Dr Thomas and his staff were patient and concerned about her comfort. He made her feel safe and taught her about taking care of her teeth in a way 4 year old's could relate to. I had to go to Dr Meyer on an emergency ( my filler fell out of my chiped tooth, I was 9 when it happened) now 33. He got me right in after work he stayed open for me so I didnt have to go on my ladies week end down at the lake with only a half of a front tooth, and it looks better now than it did be for. I also took my son to see him, he was so nice. Dr meyer also being a grandfather talked to my son about school and baseball while he cleaned his teeth. Made him feel very relaxed. my son enjoys going to the dentist.
Check-ups/cleanings are easy. But Dr Hollander often over subscribes tretament/diagnostics and the office is not really good about telling you upfront what is truly necessary and/or covered by your insurance. If you question him about it, he does not have a good answer.
Wouldnt recommend anyone other than Dr Thomas!!!!! My kids r no longer scared to go to the dentist! He is the best.
The staff is always rude which always surprised me because they are an office for children. I work for a Doctor myself and at our office we strive to make our patients and their family feel comfortable, They do not! Snotty attitudes are very unprofessional
