Fairly new to the South Shore Dr. McAlear was the 4th optometrist we have been to in three years. He was the first to take the time to truly listen to the challenges my daughter (12yo) was having with her vision. He made extra time to perform detailed testing to determine what she needed. He was informative, explaining the purpose of various assessments making her feel at ease. I also admire his willingness to refer to other disciplines as appropriate.
