In fairness, he did YAG surgery on right eye which was successful. He did cataract surgery on left eye which gave me 20/20 vision. However, the subsequent YAG surgery on the left eye turned out very, very bad for me. I now have bluriness in that eye 50-75+ times a day. At 6 mos. post-surgery I have gone to another doctor as well, and there is nothing that can be done. The YAG created a problem for me which I didn't have before and now I have to live with bluriness!
I had vision problems all my life until I met Dr. Henderson 3 years ago. Everyone and everything surrounding his practice are cream of the crop. I don't understand those 2 bad reviews. Tom Henderson is by far the best Ophthalmologist in Central Texas. He constantly upgrades his practice with latest techniques and huge investments in the best technology. He is a brilliant man and he gives kindness through care to all his patients. Those other 2 bad reviews are ingenuine and meant to cast doubt!!
I have been a patient with Dr. Henderson for many years during which he has performed eye surgery on me several times. He has always been professional, patient and a calming presence. I have recommended him to my friends and family without regret. His staff as well is top notch.
Dr. Tom Henderson was the doc who did my Left eye mono-vision, and right eye enhancement at Austin Lasik Vision Institute. He never followed up with me regarding the problems I occurred. It has been six months, and no improvement. I am constantly spending money for daily treatment on prescriptions, "steroid, and antibiotic eye drops & ointments". Also use of SYST lub drops each hour I am awake. My on going treatment is being followed by two other Ophthalmologists. Avoid this doctor.
Honestly, my experience with Dr. Henderson was infuriating. Not only was he condescending and virtually unavailable for any of my needs and concerns, he found a way to badger and demean me during the entire exam. Not only was I deeply offended, but I left with many questions about my condition. I think I even need new corrective lenses, but how to get my glasses prescription was not even discussed. He simply left the room at the end of the exam and I didn't even know if I was done.
