The food did not taste or smell fresh. The service was S-L-O-W. This place is NOT kids friendly. Its overpriced frozen food at best!! Pass on something else and we are LOCAL.

We just got home from a wonderful stay at Casa Ybel on Sanibel. We dined at the beautiful Thistle Lodge our last night. The "Divers" Scallops with Lobster and Crab was absolutely the best seafood dish of the week! My husband had the Sea Bass and raved about it as well. Presentation and sides were great. Warm bread was served with our meals and the herb butter was outstanding. Don't forget to order the Sea Salt & Caramel Cheesecake for dessert.
Been coming to Sanibel for over 20 years not sure how we’ve missed this place. Very enjoyable experience, I particularly enjoyed the special which was pompano fish served with a carb of your choice. The cheese board was amazing. Great views of the beach will definitely return.

Whether I stay at Casa YBel or another place, I make sure I eat at Thistle Lodge. It’s beautiful to eat at as well as the food is delishious and so beautifully presented. Key Lime pie is the best around and PS the lunch Lobster Roll is so good! If you haven’t been there it’s an 8 year tradition for me!
