It's impossible to sum up how amazing Third Street Pilates truly is! A master at Pilates, these folks took one look at me and knows exactly what I need to work on. I began going to their studio at the recommendation of a friend of mine. Now, I go three times a week and I would have it no other way! I've never been in better shape or felt as good about myself. Run to the phone and book yourself a session - you won't regret it.
Changed my world... – After years of hearing about pilates, and taking classes in gyms, I finally gave a proper pilates studio a try. What works for me is the kind of place where you feel taken care of, and not one of 50 in a group. Third Street has that vibe. They also have a bunch of different instructors to choose from which makes it just that much more interesting. Recently they added some yoga classes, which is cool because space is limited so the classes feel intimate. Best yoga class is on Saturday with Karen, "yoga f... read more
Holistic Body Work – I started my journey into the world of Pilates in March this year and Third Street Pilates has been a wonderful source of inspiration, motivation and VERY talented staff. Megan provided the introduction to the practice for me and set the foundation. I am now working with Jaime and I truly believe her approach will take me to a whole new level. My main motivation to get started with Pilates was to improve my golf fitness. It has done that and more. My body awareness has increased pretty dramatically and t... read more
don't go to 3rd street pilates! – Apart from an amazing instructor (Jonathan), 3rd street pilates has to be one of the most disorganized businesses I have ever subscribed to. Payment scheduling was always off; classes are double booked; you sign up for a class online, pay for it then show up and there is no instructor; they ask you to track your own sessions and payment schedule, then tell you you owe 'X' dollars. Honestly, there are plenty of better pilates studios in the city. Absolutely horrendous
This place gets better & better – This studio was already great 2 years ago when I started working out with the awesome Georgia. Now, not only has my body changed in amazing ways, but the whole experience just keeps getting better. There are so many incredibly knowledgeable and caring trainers to work with, like Gabby, Karen, Carol and Jamie, to name a few. The equipment is great too, and there's plenty of it. Georgia has turned me on to Gyrotonic and brought a bum shoulder back to life. Can't say enough good stuff about Thi... read more
Best Pilates Studio from Coast to Coast – I have been doing pilates for 3 years and moved to the Bay Area a few months ago from the East Coast. My first order of business was to find a studio that could give me the same power that I was used to receiving and work with my body. I fell in love with Third Street Pilates because the owner Georgia was energetic and friendly, her equipment and stuido was up to date, and best of all she introduced me to Jamie, my trainer, who rocks! This is the first time my boyfriend has noticed t... read more
favorite pilates in the state! – i live in los angeles and whenever i was in san francisco, i'd go see georgia and her staff - it was my home away from home. most importantly, they readied my body for my summer trip to india!
Transformational! – Working with the patient and very welcoming trainers in this light-filled studio has been nothing short of a revelation. The Pilates instruction is giving me strength, tone and body confidence in my 40s that I never had in my 20s. And my first two Gyrontonic sessions with the amazing Georgia Kalnin brought full range of motion back into an injured shoulder. The pain is gone, period. If you're looking for encouraging people to help you realize what your body is capable of, this is the place.
Impress Yourself............ For Sure!!!! – Pilates is amazing and Third Street Pilates is the place to go! The studio is beautiful, Georgia and her staff are knowledgable, warm, non-judgemental, and they will get you to do things that you never thought you could do. Along with building strenth and fexibility this workout helps with all of my aches and pains including miracle stretches for shoulder problems from working on the computer. Believe it or not exercise can be fun........see for yourself!
