We strive to provide an environment where a "mix of blue-collar, white-collar, priest-collar and dog-collar" customers can meet-up, socialize, and enjoy an excellent cup of coffee together. Great coffee and prime people-watching keep this Glenwood caffeine shop hopping. – In Short Just a few blocks from the corporate competition, Third Place keeps customers loyal with stellar coffee, a laid-back atmosphere and a quality menu of sandwiches (lots of veggie options) and desserts. Area art adorns the walls and the clientele is a mix of musicians, hipsters, intellectuals and neighborhood folks. Local and proud, even the coffee is a product of Raleigh (Larry's Beans).
DiGiTaL Danny – I think that third place is a great place, they serve good stuff the joint is jumpin,at night ,but in day it is yuppish, A good place to hang, rember to TIP!!!
Service please? – I have been going to Third Place for four years or so now. I love the atmosphere, the coffee and sandwiches are great, and it's wonderful to see an independent business be so successful. But please, please please get the staff to shape up. For the most part they are not very nice, bordering on rude, and often act like the customer is indebted to them for making the coffee. No Place Like Third Place – There's definitely no place like Third Place. Whether you are looking for a quiet spot to read a book, collect your thoughts or do a little writing during the day, or a place where you can come at night to find several tables of friends (indoors and out), Third Place has it. The best drinks around served in the greatest atmosphere. You walk in the door and you know you're home...can't ask for more.
All welcome (SF transplant or father 2) – Great joint. Cool, hip and comfortable. You can have whatever attitude you like but I've always felt welcome (as a San Fran transplate first 5 yrs ago and as a father of two young kids today). Great coffee and lunch. Owner is one of the nicest guys you'll meet (and hard working)
Oh so yummy – Third Place has the best espresso in town! I have tried Cafe Americano's at all of the other coffee shops in Raleigh, and consistantly it tastes best at Third Place. Besides that, their sandwiches are great and very fresh. Great job!
