George and Maria came to Carson City in 1990 and bought Nick's Pizza on Carson Street. George made great pizza and Maria made great everything else and as proud Greek Americans they put every bit of their fun-loving, passionate, argumentative and endearing passion into their business. I love Thick Slice pizza. The new owners have brought back higher quality ingredients and integrity like the original owners George and Maria used to have... I am a pizzahollic and can't eat pizza from anywhere else anymore.
I was gonna bummed I love love this place. With the exception of the sauce its way 2 sweet! It was perfect the last 3 times. Maybe just an off day. I'll be back w fingers crossed!
Sad to say that once the original owner moved back to Greece it's terrible! The new owners skimmed on all the topping and it doesn't taste the same at all. Won't go back!
New owners are killing it in a good way. Everything has improved. Pesto wings are great, pizza better than ever.
Omg omg omg.!!!!! I didn't think my day could get any better. Hit the gym HAAAARD. feeling goooood. Then I meet this sweet old jewish gentleman working check out in an unnamed store who was praying for customers IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!! Nearly floating feeling so blessed. We are down here from CA. This pizza is freaking amazing. So much cheese and good toppings. They are the friendliest people I've ever seen in the food business. Bar none.
