George and Maria came to Carson City in 1990 and bought Nick's Pizza on Carson Street. A pizza that lives up to its name. Tons of cheese and good portion of toppings. The garlic bread was good too.
Okay, its definitely not EXACTLY like Nick's. Nothing will be like Nick's. We in Carson have to accept that. But as far as best pizza in Carson? I think I'm calling it. Thick Slice is flavorful, with a quality crust the likes I haven't seen in Carson SINCE Nick's closed. Flavor. Holy shit. FLAVOR. SEASONINGS in Carson city. Thank you for seasoning your food, Thick Slice. We WILL be ordering again.
Great pizza and excellent service. At times the sauce tastes sweet but with so many toppings it evens out for a great taste. I've never had a bad experience with them. I recently moved to south Carson and last night had a really busy day, finally stopping at 8:30 and starving. Terrible customer service from the manager. Will never revisit this establishment.
When they first opened, it was exactly what Maria and George used to make at Nick's. It's been bought/sold several times since it opened, and every time that has happened the pizza has gone down hill in every way imaginable. Go back to the way Maria and George made it and you'd be busier than you could imagine...maybe even close to what Nick's was like every night.
