Sorry we went with Thermo-Twin! If you want a window just to look nice, they do that but they DO NOT STOP AIR LEAKING! Air leaks between the sides where the windows slide up & down. Had to have indoor storm windows to STOP the air leaks. They tried to tell me it was due to "thermal"....they why would my curtains only move when it was windy out and say 10° but did NOT move on a day that was 10° WITH NO WIND???? Save your money & go with someone else.

DO NOT USE Thermo-Twin Industries for you window or sliding door replacement. This company is poor at best. I ordered Black windows and they installed espresso brown. The sliding door was installed uneven and the caulking job is unsightly. Brian Carricato is not honest. He is in it for the sale and nothing more. Also, don't depend on Service Manager - Dan Russino to offer any professional help. He pretty much depends on Brian to make his decisions. In addition to the poor quality of workmanship and product, they broke ... read more

STAY AWAY. Purchased new windows and glass doors. Not one window locks closed and two you can not open. My old windows were better. Thermo Twin does not come back and review work. I complained and they sent a kid out who managed to break the locking mechanism on sliding door.

My elderly mother had a horrible experience with this company cheating her. They insisted that she sign a contract before they would even consider doing the work (which she did); however, then when the job only took two hours instead of the four specified in the contract that they were basing the total cost on, they still insisted she pay the full amount. The supervisor would not return our calls and she continued to be harassed with past-due notices, etc. Save yourself a lot of hassle--do NOT trust this company!

Do not buy! My picture window has fog, frost, and condensation between the panes depending on the season. A couple of the bedroom windows will only open about six inches without having to use excessive strength to open them the rest of the way. The company no longer services the Akron area and ignored my requests about warranty coverage.

Thermo-Twin Review From the first phone call for an estimate to the last bit of clean up, this has been the best experience. The sales agent (Cliff) arrived on time as scheduled. He was personable and very knowledgeable of the Thermo-Twin Company. He began with a rough measurement of the windows that I was having replaced. He then proceed to show and advise my wife and I what would work best for us. His estimate for 16 windows was very reasonable and the windows were exactly what we were looking for. Excellent quality. The... read more

These windows leak air badly. When cold weather came the first winter we had them, Thermo Twin sent several "technicians" out several times with 3M insulating felt I could have purchased at the hardware. These "fixes" did nothing to solve the problem. I now spend about $75 a year (and 3 or 4 hours of my time) to cover the windows with 3M plastic film. The windows do, however, have a nice wide smooth surface on which to adhere the 3M tape so the plastic never pulls free of the window frame, and we finally stay warm and draft-... read more

Sounds like things haven't changed with this company. While my windows were under warranty the caulking cracked -inside and out- and the gasses escaped from all of my upstairs windows. I was told it would run me $50 for each window to be repaired because they had moved their store. These windows leak like crazy. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. My advice is to look elsewhere.
