Theory is the product of two successful Bozeman, Montana-based hair salons that merged together into one, joining forces to offer inspired creative innovation to the world of hair. Theory is the best! We are so lucky to have a salon of this caliber in our town! Katie always does an incredible job! Everyone who works there is amazing, fun, and kind not only to the clients but each other! As a client, it is wonderful to feel the support they have for one another. I was very nervous about betting my hair cut, but I could not be happier with the outcome! Being multi racial (German/African-American) I was worried about finding someone in Bozeman that could cut and style my hair. I went to Theory with a friend while she got her hair cut and met Trevor. He was very confident that he could cut my hair and have it look good, so a few weeks later I finally went for my appointment and left with a BEAMING smile on my face. Joan has been routinely cutting my hair for over 2 years now, and I couldn't be happier! She is constantly catering to my needs and has improved my hair style significantly. Her eye for even the slightest detail is impeccable. My satisfaction only increases with every hair cut I receive. Honestly, I did not know what a great haircut looked/felt like until I had Joan from Theory Hair Salon cut my hair!

Came in from Cape Cod to visit Montana State with my son.. Made an email appointment last minute & was super impressed! Amazing salon, Killer hair & just truly fabulous folks ! 10 inches taken off & a new do... I LOVE my hair!
One of the hard things about traveling is finding someone new to do your hair! I am so pleased with my cut and color by Cori! The salon in general is clean and hip. Everyone was friendly and I felt very comfortable there. I'll be back!

I started coming here almost a year ago and have loved every visit! Great service, the stylists listen to your needs, and can actually cut thick curly hair! They do book up very quick but the wait is worth it.
