Dr. Fisher performed a C3-C7 laminoplasty on me in December 2020. During surgery, he caused a Cranial Spinal Fluid (CSF) leak by perforating my spinal canal and did not disclose this to me afterward. During months of subsequent "thunderclap" headaches, he continued to deny that I had this disorder. I have suffered from chronic back pain for many years. Dr. Fisher was very thorough and was able to find a fracture that the others doctors had missed. His entire staff was very friendly. Although I have just started my treatment, I am feeling better already. Thank you.
I have been to Illinois Bone and Joint three times, and each time I have waited at least 30 minutes past my appointment. My most recent appointment was ONE HOUR late, and then when Dr. Fisher came in he was hurried and didn't really have time for a full assessment. He hadn't reviewed my chart (I was moved to him after my normal doc went on mat leave), so his assessment was based on partial information as he didn't review it while I was in the appointment either. Wonderful! Dr. Fisher fixed my back. I couldn't stand or sleep, but, Dr. Fisher was able to arrange for an MRI the same day and showed me the results over the computer that night! He sent me for an injection and now I can run and exercise again.
Dr. Fisher did successfully fuse my lumbar and cervical Neck, However as progression of stenosis to above levels occurred, he dropped me like a bad habit. It may have been a workman's comp/Insurance issue or his firm opinion that ASD (Adjacent Segment Disease) is not a post Fusion Issue. This Diagnosis is rebutted by Spine surgeons as they make their living with Spinal Fusions. He did not return my phone calls, his secretaries had no idea why...
Dr Fisher operated on my Back,it's getting better,not fast enough, but he's a caring Dr and spends as much time as u need 2 understand completely,I feel comfortable with this Dr,and he's permanent,in my Life 4 Back Surgeries,which hopefully will never happen,but I lu Doc!
Very disappointed in Dr. Fisher. He does not respond to his personal clinic portal for anything -- from appointment notes to questions I left about my medication. I am not returning to him and absolutely do not recommend him. Mostly he shows very low involvement or patient concern.
Fantastic doctor. He spend extra time with me to answer all of my questions. He is very compassionate. After my surgery, my back never felt better.
