Had total hip replacement all went well. Incision still healing am walking around and having no pain, this was done on the first week--third week. Anterior robotic assisted surgery which he specializes in. Three different approaches--Anterior, lateral and posterior. Hope to be released by1/11 18.
I searched months for a board certified hip surgeon using the latest methods and technology and who would accept my BCBSTX HMO insurance. Fortunately I found Dr Crawford. He performs the "robotic assisted, anterior full hip replacement " method. Within hours following my surgery, I was walking with very little pain. Within 2 days, I am walking unassisted, but I'm using the walker "just incase". I don't feel I even need it. Dr Crawford is a great guy too. He's to the point & friendly.
Dr Crofford did my hip replacement, and while it wasn't fun (what surgery is?), it was a wonderful experience with him. I've worked with him professionally in the OR, which is one of the reasons I went to him. He is caring and compassionate and takes the time to listen to you and answer all of your questions.
Dr. Crofford replaced my left hip in 2013. He was very professional, and my hip is great. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Up walking with discomfort but no pain same day after hip replacement home the next day. It almost seems to good to be true.
