Prior to joining HSS, he was the Physician in Chief of the Bone and Joint Institute and the former Interim Chairman of the Yale University Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. Before then, he practiced for eight years with Columbia Orthopedics – NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, and four years with University Orthopedics at Brown University.

I went to doctor Blaine for 2 shoulder surgeries. I had contact sports related injuries in each shoulder about 5 years apart. Within 6 weeks of the surgery I was pain free and back to what I thought was 100%, and within 3 months I was back to playing contact sports. Nice quick fast service! As soon as I left I got the call to make my appointment for my ct scan an they kept me on the phone with them afterwards for our follow up ! I usually wait a week or 2 just for the initial call from any other doctor ! So far I’m happy
