BEST AROUND – Me and my family went out to eat yesterday at the best bbq restaurant anyone could ever find. Its a family owned establisment which has won anumerous amounts of trophies from going to bbq compititions and has even been on Diners, Dives and Drive Ins. BEWARE!!!! What ???? 18% AUTOMATIC GRATUITY for 6 persons, sandwitches? – The title says it all! 6 of us went here to enjoy some BBQ pulled pork sandwitches, and honestly they were pretty good. My only problem is when I got the bill and they automaticly added an 18% gratuity to it! What? Unbelievable!!!!!! WHAT? My 6 year old daughter could have waited that table! Terrible service – Like others, we decided to try Thee Pitts Again after seeing it featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We were disappointed. We realized the service would be bad when the server took our drink order, and then returned ten minutes later (without the drinks) to take our food order. The restaurant was not that busy. The food they produce is top notch! I have never had bbq this good!!! I think this is one of the most deserving place to be on "diners, drive inns, and dives" In A diner it can take a little longer to get your food if the place is packed. So-so – We tried this place after it premiered on Food Network; it was jammed as one might expect. The brisket was chewy and the sides were forgettable, but the pork and chicken were good, and we chalked any problems up to the restaurant being busy. On our second visit the crowd was light, but the food was still mediocre. The chicken was gamey, and the chili had the taste and consistency of spaghetti sauce.
