I had a group of friends come to stay here for my husband’s 50th birthday. We rented 8 rooms. I was kicked out of the rooftop bar by the manager for wanting to hand out very small cupcakes. She was very nasty and screaming and yelling because people were singing happy birthday.She would not offer any solution or work with us in any way. We have provided a lot of income for this hotel in the past and we will never stay here again! The service was terrible. I also note the beds were very uncomfortable.
We have stayed here twice, most recently in September. Both stays were great, and this is our hotel of choice for York! Staff at check-in were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. Before our September stay, we were upgraded to a beautiful and spacious suite, which was a wonderful surprise!
