We were so so excited to visit the Yard Milkshake Bar; however, we left pretty disappointed. The prices were shocking, though understandable in such a touristy destination. Though for the high price, the service should have been a little better. They don’t offer cups of water unless you purchase an overpriced bottle. The biggest thing for me was the fact that you had to wash your own jars and put them in plastic grocery bags.. Was very disappointed that my jar said “the yard Virginia Beach Virginia.” Yet, I was actually in PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLORIDA! For $19 I expected a souvenir from the city I was visiting. When I asked the lady who was working there, talking to another lady in the back the entire time, I was told they did not order them for this location. Tables were never cleaned, there was never a greeting when we walked in the door. The whole atmosphere felt as though you are not welcome to this place. The Yard, please do better!
Really cool concept and delicious flavors. But over $140 for a family of 8, makes it a once in a lifetime experience for our family. Would be really cool for a date night though because they are huge and two people could easily split a shake!
I have to give this place a 10 out of 10. Not only for the taste and how good it is but most of all for the customer service. Im a tourist and ordered like 4 or 5 milkshakes to go, not knowing how they are necessarily prepared (my fault). They expressed the difficulty in probably trying to carry them out to they car and half way to the car I spilled 90% of it.
