I have always been a fan of them . The food is great , the workers are great and friendly.
Never disappointed when I leave! The food is always fantastic, hot and accurate the people just always make it a welcoming, inviting environment!
Tom, the owner, is the best! He’s a hardworking Greek immigrant who took over the Winking Dog back in 1990. He knows so many of his customers by their first name. Though the place is not super modern, it is clean and well kept! Best hotdogs and fries in the Chicago land burbs! Great gyros, Italian beefand even salads! A classic in the north lake neighborhood. I may be a little biased since my dad owns this place � but give the food a try and you won’t be disappointed.
Eating lunch with our neighborhood friends. 6 adults, 2 children...good business, right? I soent almost $40 just for me & my 2 children. Well... BOYCOTT The Winking Dog-the owner told us “people were complaining about the noise” when AJ was getting loud with joy...yet we never saw anyone (there were only 3 besides us) go to him and say anything. Bye, TWD. � Social media has mucho power when it comes to spreading the word about grouchy, discriminatory practices. �
I am a life time resident of Northlake. Grew up with the children of the original owner's children. -- I spend approximately $1,000 a year with family and friends. Today was the second time that I was servef out of turn while in the drive thru. While placing my order another car pulled through directly to the pick up window. - My challenge is that they took the other cars order then served them rather than asking them to drive around and get in line.
