My husband and I came up for one night for my 30th birthday. Once we got into our room we realized our toilet wasn’t filling with water so we couldn’t flush. We notified the front desk on the way out as we left for dinner that night. On the way back in we were told that there was an issue with the water filling but maintenance would be by in the morning to fix it. The front desk left us a note (see picture) explaining the issue. RecommendedWe stayed at the Windsor recently for our daughter’s Asheville wedding. With everything that was going on we were pretty high maintenance needing a lot of help from unloading boxes, arranging for Champagne to be chilled, charcuterie to be brought in and all while we were at the wedding. The staff at Windsor executed everything flawlessly and graciously which really eased our stress at a very stressful time. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was @ the Windsor. The character of the lobby, building and rooms made it unique. The staff were incredible with warmth and helpful suggestions. I can't wait to come back to Asheville and stay at the Windsor again!!! Perfection all the way around.
Amazing place. Centrally located. Kitchen was nice to have especially if you have leftover. My only suggestion is to ask for a room on the backside. Can get noisy at time but nothing too crazy. No key/card to enter hotel/room is nice and simple. Parking was 2 blocks away and cheap. Suggestion. If you checkout on a Monday definitly move your car early Sunday morning 6:30 to any of the free parking meter out front for easy checkout with luggage. Glad I moved my car.
I recently moved away from Asheville but last weekend had the opportunity to visit for my birthday weekend. I was very happy with our stay here! If you are looking to stay in the heart of downtown AVL in a beautiful, quiet, friendly place then this is it! (Thanks for making my birthday get away so special!)
The staff, location, service, gorgeous rooms + fine art & antiques throughout & somehow, still NOT stuffy.. We LOVE this gorgeous hotel! Only thing missing there ,is ME & my honey, our dog & our store, of course! Lol! Hope to see you again, soon, Y'all! Thanks, MRK Group!
