We have mixed emotions about the paper. We're going on our 16th LIVE event in Winchester and have sent several press releases over previous events. Winchester has a thriving martial arts community but, we've never been contacted by a reporter, mentioned in the sports or local section, etc. What gives? We have a live event on Saturday May 28th, we'd like to publicly invite a reporter from your paper to contact us and visit the event.
The Winchester Star has been very kind in covering the Winchester VFW Post 2123 events. In particular I want to thank them for the March 4, 2016 story "Three students pen what freedom means to them." We are very proud of the three young ladies featured along with the 22 others that were Virginia District 7 finalists and all 368 students that took the time to enter the "Patriot's Pen" essay contest. The kids, their parents, and their teachers deserve our respect for advancing the cause of Patriotism. Thank you.
