This is a great place to stay at and worth staying at if you're in town. Rooms here were overall very clean. Pricewise, I'd say the rates are very fair. This hotel is in a great location.
LOVE – MY love of my life took me there for a weekend and i loved it...it look so much like home but away from the kids....i had a blast there with him (wink wink) and he took me right to bbq rite next to it and i ate till i couldnt eat no more!! then we walked around Bryant Park...then went back to the hotel for sum drinks and enjoyed the rest of the night...i had fun and it was clean... ITS A RUN TOO PLACE!! love love will will deff go again..
I'd stay here again I've stayed at both the Westin Times Square and the Hilton Times Square a half block from the Westin, both recently, upgrades in both. Location is ideal for flying into Newark and then taking bus to Port Authority Bus Terminal. Westin rooms are modern, HTS more traditionally decorated. HTS has breakfast free for Golds, arguably a good American-style breakfast. Westin had executive lounge continental breakfast (for upgrades) which I skipped. Westin had street noise at night. HTS was quiet. BUT I liked the ... read more
Good location but nothing special – I stayed at The Westin for 3 nights on a recent Christmas vacation. I mainly chose this hotel due to its location to Times Square and my past experiences at a Westin have been good. The hotel is very modern in its decor but the rooms are small in size for the price that you pay. The bathrooms were clean but as one reviewer has already mentioned, the counter space is TINY TINY TINY! The bed was very comfortable and we had a room on floor 36, so was very quiet at night except for occasional ... read more
Always a nice place to stay Staying at the Westin New York at Times Square is always a nice place to stay when in the city. And who does not like sleeping on a Heavenly Bed? Nice Hotel. Good location.
Pretty good, few complaints – I stayed one night here, and overall was happy with my experience. First, it is pricey, but no more than other NYC 4 star hotels. It was a little odd that the lobby was not on the first level, but no big deal. The staff upon check-in was very friendly and warm. The room was very nice, spacious (again, for a NYC hotel room), the bed was super comfy, very nice flat screen TV. THe bathroom was the worst part. It was clean and nice looking, but the sink area was the tiniest I've ever seen. There was... read more
Start Spreading the News - Horrible - Do Not Stay at This Hotel – I had the misfortune of staying at the Sheraton Manhattan at Times Square while on a September 2007 business trip to NYC. The place quite simply is an overpriced dump. Although they claim the property has undergone a recent multi-million dollar renovation not all rooms have been completed. Dirty linens, moldy bathroom, chipped paint, peeling wallpaper and a barely functional television is what greeted me after a long flight. Think look-and-feel of a discount s... read more
Nothing fancy but a great location – This hotel is a bit faded but as a home base for a weekend of shows and shopping it fit the bill. Yep, rooms are small but everything you need is there. Some lights didn't work but a call to reception and it was fixed in no time. If you're looking to lounge around and relax I'm sure there are better hotels but if you're looking for something reasonably priced in the best part of the city go here.
A little less then expected from a Westin Hotel – The overall experience was a little less then expected from a Westin. The location in Times Square was convenient (although, beware if you want a good view), the service was good, nothing to expand upon though. The rooms were quite large, the bathroom had all the needed amenities )and I must admit beautiful slate tile) and was also rather roomy. The window seat is a nice touch however BEWARE of the super paper thin walls! We were a party of 4 (older adults) who retired at app... read more
