I lived in the walkway for two years and I witnessed its decline from slightly run down luxury building into a full-on dystopian horror show. I just left last month and it was on awful terms. They got rid of security guards completely. They lied about the existence of camera footage. The primary doors have been broken for 9 months and counting. DO NOT MOVE HERE. MY FRIEND CAME HOME AFTER WORK AND WAS ATTACKED BY A HOMELESS PERSON INSIDE THE BUILDING homeless people in stairwells, halls and lobby. NO SECURITY. MANAGEMENT IS NOT PRESENT AND DOES NOT CARE ON BIT ABOUT RESIDENTS hot tub? yea right, it’s been broken for almost two years. front door? yea right, they said it was going to be fixed in june… it’s almost august
It just so crazy to me to see the responses here from The Walkway on issues that we have been bringing up since NOVEMBER. None of this is news to them. It’s concerning that the residents have to police our own building for unauthorized visitors who are leaving behind needles, trash, human waste & stench. The lack of urgency for safety and security of the residents is very concerning…not to mention that we are paying for amenities that have not been operational for months!! What can I say... Security is a major issue. It's been an incredibly frustrating experience living here. The front door has not functioned properly since November, allowing unauthorized individuals to enter the building freely. As a result, the stairwells are frequently used by non-residents, leaving behind trash, needles, and even human waste Unacceptable conditions for a property advertised as "luxury" and "posh."
