My son who is now 28 went thru Kelly's vision therapy when he was in 2nd grade. It was found that one of his eyes was moving away from the point where he should be focusing. After completing the therapy, his grades went from b's to mostly A's. He went on to be in the top 10 in his high school class and straight As in college. In third grade my daughter could only read the chapter titles because the smaller words would blur out of focus too quickly for her to read. After two years of Vision Therapy she was reading several years (5+) beyond her grade level. I wish we had known about Vision Therapy sooner. Vision Therapy helped my daughter in many ways. Her ability to focus increased. Her reading level jumped up more than a grade level. Her class grades increased. Her coordination increased and most importantly, her confidence in herself skyrocketed helping her to believe she can do these things that at one time seemed too difficult. If you are even considering vision therapy, do it. It had a been a positive life changing experience.
I’m a Senior who has had severe double vision for many years. Before starting therapy at the VTC the only answer was to correct my vision with progressively stronger prisms. The therapy that I have received for the past year has stabilized the deterioration of my progressive problem. In fact, it has corrected my vision so that I need less prism in my glasses.
