I would not recommend this place to anybody they do not know how to deal with Alzheimer’s patients even though they’re anAlzheimer’s facility. They overmedicated my mother to the point where she couldn’t even walk anymore she had to spend three weeks in rehab and then I moved her to the best place around. They didn’t report correctly to her psychiatrist he even recommended me finding a new place for her he was very upset with the facility for not reporting back to him with what my mother was going through. They kicked my father out during the pandemic. my father got out of a locked down facility because someone left the door open he was found 20 minutes later by a outsider. They burnt his arms by putting his medication on wrong. They made his bed when it was wet. Always had other people's clothes in his closet which was locked. There is a handful of people who cared. The only thing they have going for them is the food. My father passed 2 weeks after being kicked out. he was there for 2 and half years not one phone call. RUN fr... read more
July 4th we celebrate America but we also celebrated mom’s 93rd and Kayla’s 13th birthday. Mom was surprised and delighted to have her family there to wish her a happy birthday even though it was very different this year. The celebration was through a window with a walkie talkie but none the less it was a celebration!! Thank you to Jacqueline and Ralph at the Villas at Sunset Bay for making this possible. Also a big thank you to all the friends and family who sent cards. The cards made it extra special.
Not a good place for residents or employees.
The Villas at sunset Bay go above and beyond to ensure the health and safety of their residence. The decision to have my mother move into this community is the best decision I could have made on her behalf!
My mother in law has been at the Villas for over a year and she loves it. It is hard because we are so far from her but Ronnie and his staff take great care in the residents health and well being. Ronnie and Kelli have made communication between families and residents and staff easy especially during this difficult time.
My Mom is a resident of 2 years. This is the only place we visited where the residents were engaged with the people and the world around them. This was also the only place that did NOT smell like a facility. You know the smell. Everyone (the staff and residents) is friendly and even my 9 yr old son likes going there to visit. The residents enjoy when he calls the BINGO numbers. My Mom has not been is such good health as she has been under their care.
