First snowfall of the season 4 to 5"'s of snow and many walkway's, stairs and COMPLETE PARKING LOTS HERE have not been maintained in any way! And it's been 24 hours since the snowfall ended. This place is a joke and I'm not laughing! They only cut the lawn every 5 weeks because the owner is to cheap! This place is a dump on a good day! Never again! No laundry either!

Lew Mcginnis owns 30+ apartment complexes in Topeka. This is one of them. It is infested with German cockroaches and mice. The previous tenant in our unit clearly smoked inside and you can tell they didn't clean the walls or change the carpet, so all our clothes and furniture smell of smoke. The walls are full of mold and there are yellow and gray drips down most of our walls, there's burn marks on our counters. We had to grovel and beg for a new dishwasher when we moved in because it was filled with black gunk that stunk up... read more
The Village at Old Town is a dump, don't rent from this complex or any other complex owned by Eucalyptus Real Estate and Lew McGinnis. The entire complex is disgusting, there are constant maintenance issues, the halls and units smell hideous, and there are German Cockroaches all over the place. To top it off, the trash hasn't been picked up in weeks, leaving dumpsters overflowing everywhere. The office staff are friendly enough, which is the only real positive I can list here.
