My brother had trouble getting into MD Anderson for his cancer. They would not accept any of the 3 insurances he had and my father tried desperately to get him in.

Excellent. Dr. Frank and Ian, his PA are compassionate, listened to me, took time to answer my questions and educate me about a rare head and neck cancer treatment with Pencil Beam Proton Therapy. Dr. Frank is one of a handful of Radiation Oncologist with extensive experience with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma in the Head and Neck. He championed Proton therapy in the US and has a pioneering spirit and is motivated by his desire to cure his patients with the most effective radiation treatment options available. I want to share my disappoinment with the Team at the Proton Therapy Center. Schedule of treament was set, we traveled across the US to start treament for a late stage aggressive cancer. Twice the treament start has been cancelled. One of the cancellations was with a 2 hour notice. Extremely upset with the lack of notice and continued delays. The patient is ready, the Team and Center cant seem to get their act together. Update Once treatment started exceptional care and compassion was provided by the Proton Therapy Team. The... read more
