This office has the worst billing department. Its a one way street. Youre only allowed to call once and then you have to wait 24 hrs for a return call. It states that on their answering service. They clearly dont care about patients when it comes to communication. Ive let certain things go but now Im done with their terrible customer service. University of Kansas St Francis, Lab Billing is a joke, they do not bill my insurance carrier as a preferred lab, therefore it is not being paid at 100% from my insurance and they keep sending me a bill for the last three years, It takes months to get anything done in 2022 they issued a refund to a credit card I do not have any longer in December, in 2023 they actually sent me to collections, even though there are several notes on my file and my chart billing for this, and now again I'm getting same issue in 2024. I am sorry you have had a bad experience with St. Francis. The refund you received to an expired credit card was done automatically by the system. It is programmed to refund to the card the payment was issued on. Our understanding is that preferred labs are labs your insurance prefers you to go to, so they will pay at 100%. Is our lab on your insurance plan list as a preferred lab? If it is not then your insurance will process and apply to deductible/coinsurance.
