I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Rahul Mehta and the entire team at UMMC in Jackson, Mississippi. I’ve been Dr. Mehta’s patient since 2018, back when he was at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge. He’s such an exceptional surgeon that when it came time for my recent ear surgery, I gladly made the 2.5-hour drive just to have him perform it. Terrible!!! My wife was quoted $206 for a EKG, MRI, and office visit. We later received a bill for over $2,400. One of the machines was down and broke, and they ran the whole day on one machine instead of two. It took several hours for the scans and over an hour for the visit! We spent over 8 hours for a yearly visit! Just terrible! Go to a different hospital that actually cares about patients, doesn't scam you out of money, has working equipment, and doesn't waste your time! I arrived to the emergency by ambulance at around 2:30pm and I have been waiting to see a doctor and now it's 7:37pm and I still haven't seen a doctor, so I ask my daughter to check me out to go somewhere else to see a Doctor. UMMC EMERGENCY IS BAD NOT THE HOSPITAL IT USED TO BE!
