There are always two sides to every story. Mr. Mattex version does not tell the whole story. Yes I said numbers were matching and they are. It is however a restamped block. Very common on big block vettes. Because he was upset I adjusted the price and asked him to send $.This never happened and he kept postponing the payment. After a week I told him I was selling it to someone else. With no deposit,no signed paperwork I felt no obligation to him and that he was just playing me.
BUYER BEWARE: Attention potential customers: This business will misrepresent cars as being matching numbers when they are not. I looked into purchasing a 66 Corvette advertised as matching numbers. Doing my due diligence I paid an NCRS expert judge $250 to look at it. When my NCRS judge showed up one of the associates informed the judge that the engine had been restamped.
